Blumebox! - photos by Neysa Ruhl

Introducing the Blumebox!

Courtenay Lambert Florals is the exclusive provider of blumeboxes in the greater Cincinnati area, and I'm so excited about it! And the best part, they’re made of 100% recycled post consumer waste and have a 100% water based coating. And after the event, they can go right into the recycle bin!

I have been delivering all of my bride's and bridesmaids' bouquets in them since January...for FREE! Free is always good, right? Brides can choose the color blumebox they want, and either we can create a special design on them for you or you can DIY it. The box is free with a bouquet, but there is a small charge for us to customize it. But, if you're the creative type, and you want to do it yourself, you can! Also, wouldn't it be fun to get together and have a little decorating party with your bridesmaids and personalize them? Some of my customers are not only using them for their bridal party bouquets (which creates instant decor for your head table), but also as containers for all of their centerpieces.

Click here to check out the Blumebox website. The price seen on their site is the same price as in my shop, but there is no shipping fee if you pick them up at our location! They are great for all occasions, so go ahead and check them out!

Cincy Chic Photoshoot with Neysa Ruhl

These pics are from a photo shoot for Cincy Chic, an online magazine for women in Cincinnati. Here is a link to the article if you are interested, Cincy Chic March Issue.

All of the photos were taken by the extraordinarily talented Neysa Ruhl of Neysa Ruhl Photography. Check out her web site…you’ll love her work! Neysa took so many great shots, that as usual, I can’t post just one. Like me, Neysa loves the romantic vintage looks and the fine details that make a wedding unique. In the bouquet, I used Hydrangea, Roses, Cymbidium orchids, Stock and Anthurium; all wrapped together with satin grosgrain ribbon and of course a vintage sparkly piece!

And this last one is me. Neysa is so talented! Thanks for the great shots Neysa!

Burke - Sprengard - December 28, 2007

Amber Burke & Joe Sprengard
Amber & Joe's pictures were taken by the incredible Steph Carson (Steph Carson Photography - link on right). I love these pictures...they have such a vintage glam feel to them!
Amber has great taste, she paired robin's egg blue with a deep jeweled red, and set against black and white. I love it!!! In her bouquet, we used all whites, including Hydrangea, Roses, and Stephanotis. In the girl's bouquets, we used black magic red roses and loops of robin's egg blue velvet ribbon.

The setting was the Hilton's Hall of Mirrors which really lends to that vintage Hollywood glam look I mentioned before. The bride, groom, and the entire wedding party look great in this setting...what a handsome group! Check out all the other glorious details below. I went a little crazy posting a lot of pics, but the wedding was so gorgeous and Steph's photography is so great, I couldn't help myself. Enjoy!

Beautiful Winter Wedding!

This wedding took place on December 15, and it was such a winter wonderland that day. The setting was Drees Pavilion, and we used black magic red roses (my favorite)! All shots were taken by the fantabulous Mr. Michael Bambino Michael Bambino & Company. I put up some pictures of his black and whites which really show the velvety texture of the black magic red roses! See the detail shots below.

Petro - Johnson Wedding

Cara Petro & Kevin Johnson - November 17, 2007

I'm catching up on my blogging...can you tell? I have a ton of great pics from fabulous weddings to post, and Cara and Kevin's was one of them. All the fabulous photos are by Brenda Pottinger, Pottinger Photography. Aren't the pictures fabulous!

Cara was one of the most thoughtful people I've worked with. On the day of her wedding, she gave me a little gift of homemade Buckeyes, cookies, and a bottle of wine...all of this was done themed to go with her wedding. Their wedding had an Italian theme, using a lot of reds and whites. We used Charlotte red roses in her bouquet, and we used crips white blooms for other arrangements, including Hydrangea, Dendrobium orchids, and Football Mums (one of my favorite blooms as of late).

One more bit of news...Cara sent me an email telling me that their wedding was recently feature in Southwest Ohio Weddings...isn't that cool! Here is the link if you want to check it out, Southwest Ohio Weddings - Cara Petro & Kevin Johnson.

Another Something that Sparkles!

You may be asking yourselves, "What the heck are those, and what do they have to do with flowers"? The answer is, they are chocolate truffles covered in a glittery sugar, and they don't have anything to do with flowers. My trip to the Special Events show was so cool, and I got a lot of good ideas, so we are going to start offering things like favors in addition to flowers. As many of you know, we are event florists here at CLF, and we offer anything that has to do with the look and feel of the event. I just loved these sparkly bon bons, and they make great favors. They come in all colors, so feel free to ask me about them when you're in the shop or just call if you're curious.

Ashley Huffines & Tony Niehaus - 1.12.08

What nice people to work with! They were my first wedding of 2008, and it was a beautiful winter wedding at the Verdin Bell. Ashley went with winter whites, accented with red and green. We used white Hydrangea, black magic red Roses, green Hypericum berries, and loops of Lily grass all tied together with red satin and green velvet!

I also discovered a great up and coming photographer in the process, Kacy Cierly, who supplied all the photos. Here is a link to her site, Kacy Photo.
