A Very Chic Wedding

Amy Storer & Pete Scalia - September 2008

You might recognize this handsome couple. Amy is the Editor in Chief for the fabulous online women's magazine, Cincy Chic. And Pete is a news anchor in Dayton, and formerly here in Cincinnati. Amy & Pete were married at the Verdin Bell Event Centre, and it was a gorgeous wedding. Amy chose gold and rich ruby reds for both her bouquets and centerpieces. It was a beautiful wedding! The team of wedding professionals who worked on Amy & Pete's wedding included Alison Wenstrup of Aviva Events , Cecily Claytor of Zoe Custom Cosmetics, and the fabulous pictures were done by the talented Neysa Ruhl of Neysa Ruhl Photography.

Amy decorated her fabulous blumeboxes, which hold the bridal party bouquets.

Sweet Gorgeousness!!!

Is this not amazing! I connected with an event florist in Kansas City, MO who created this dramatic and gorgeous candy buffet. Michelle from, Bella Design Studio does amazing work, and I love her style. I contacted her to ask he if I could post this on my blog because I thought my readers would really enjoy it. I'm going to show it to all of my candy buffet customers...I think it is absolutely amazing!

The theme is urban chic, and I'm sure it is going to be a really cool layout. So, make sure and pick up a copy (on news stands in early December)!

By the way....we deliver all bridal party bouquets in blumeboxes (pictured above), and they are fully customizable! Check out the Blumebox web site. The boxes are made of post consumer recycled materials, and can be recycled again after your event. A full array of colors are available at Courtenay Lambert Florals.

October Weddings

October has been our biggest month for weddings for three years in a row now. It has become the busiest wedding month of the year for many vendors in this part of the country, and the reason is evident. The weather! The weather is gorgeous, sunny, cool, and typically dry. We have soooooo many beautiful wedding shots to post for October, and we will be posting them as they become available. Check out some of the incredible shots below from a portion of CLF's October weddings, and stay tuned for more gorgeous weddings. I love October....it is so beautiful!

Amanda Stone & Craig Owens

Yet another beautiful October wedding. It took place at Ivy Hills Country Club which has an old farm house surrounded by beautiful old trees, and this is where the ceremony took place. These are a few shots of the ceremony, and I'm hoping to get more shots as soon as they become available. Amanda, the bride, and her family were a real pleasure to work with, and the father of the bride actually played a huge part in pulling together some of the decor. He was very hands on, and did a great job! Thanks Amanda! I loved the color pallette you chose, and I had a great time creating the flowers for your big day!

Kelly Palmer & David Myers

I loved making these bouquets! The bride, Kelly, chose such gorgeous colors....it reminded me of vanilla, chocolate, and cinammon all combined to make a gorgeous bouquet. These shots were taken by me, and I'm hoping to get some of the professional shots so you can see the whole thing together. So, if you're reading this Kelly, send me some of your pro pics please...I would love to post them! Thanks, and you were a pleasure to work with!
