New Blog!!!

Hi all! We have decided upon a new format for CLF's blog. We hope you like it! I, personally, prefer the layout of this blog, and love the ability to post bigger pictures. That way everyone can see all the glorious blooms up close and personal! Please feel free to comment, and give us any feedback or ask any questions you like.

Just so you know, we are still in the process of moving our previous blog postings from the last blog site to this one. So, fear not, if you had a favorite bouquet or arrangement on our last blog, you will be able to see it again on this one.

Stacey & Franz

I did Stacey & Franz's wedding in April, and I loved, loved, loved the flower choices Stacey made. The flowers in her bouquet included, Hydrangea, Roses, Ranunculus, Anemones, and Hypericum berries. I'm going to see if I can get any more of Stacey's favorites from her, so stay tuned.

These fantastic photos were provided by Rachel Ide from Rocket Tree, http://rockettreephotography.com/! Aren't they incredible!

Bitter Bridesmaid Bash - Thursday, September 25!!!!!

Join Us for a Fun NIght and a Great Cause!

The second annual Bitter Bridesmaid Bash will be held on Thursday September 25, 2008. The first year was a huge success, collecting 200 dresses for Kenzie's Closet and we're looking forward to surpassing that this year! Kenzie's Closet provides prom dresses for high school seniors who cannot otherwise afford them.

Registration begins at 6 p.m. at The Bridal Studio. Guests who commit to donating their gowns at the end of the evening will have the $10 admission fee waived. All guests will receive drink specials at the following area bars: Avenue Lounge, Backstage Cafe, Clique Lounge, Deadwood Saloon, and Keefer's Irish Pub.

The evening will end at The Avenue where prizes will be raffled and dresses donated starting at 10 p.m. All guests received a free t-shirt in exchange for their donation. The first 100 guests to register will also receive a bag filled with gifts from our various sponsors.

Shearman - Ollinger ---- photos by Bluebird Photography

Now, I'm a "pink" kind of girl, but when you couple mixed pinks with robbin's egg blue, well I just melt. I love these colors, and I love all the beautiful things that Julie (the bride), did with those colors. We used Stargazer Lilies (the bride's fave), Roses both full sized and minis, Hydrangea, Tulips, and Cymbidium orchids. We also tucked a hot pink Vanda orchid in the menus on each place setting, and it was glorious! All the photos were taken by the fabulous Bluebird Photography (link to right). There were so many great shots, that I once again went a little overboard. Oh well, can you really go overboard when it comes to a gorgeous wedding with so many wonderful details!
Julie Schmidt from Cincy Event Planning was the DOC. Nancy of Brideface did the gorgeous make up. The ceremony took place at St. Ursula Academy Chapel, and the reception was at the beautiful Verdin Bell. Thanks Julie, I love your style, and you were a pleasure to work with!

Heather picked beautiful green and white accented with black, and it was stunning. We used lacey Hydrangea and Queen Anne's lace accented with green buttons, and green Hypericum. Heather used black blumeboxes accented with ribbon, and green flowers in her centerpieces. Heather sent me all of these photos from her fab photogs at Catana Photography in Lexington . Thanks so much for sending them Heather, you were a pleasure to work with!

By the way, the wedding was expertly coordinated by Julie from Cincy Event Planning. Check out her blog if you want to get more details on this event!
