Ryan Wenstrup & Colin Moore 8.8.08

I've been dying to post this wedding, and now that September and October are winding down, I have a little time! This wedding was expertly executed by Alison of Aviva Events, and there was no detail left undone. Ryan (the bride) and Colin (the groom) live in Scotland, and they are a wonderful couple...when we were setting up at Ault Park, you could tell it was going to be a fun evening! The weather could not have been more gorgeous, and Ault Park was a stunning setting. Ryan chose vibrant purples and blues, and the vibrant colors looked absolutely gorgeous in this setting.

Men in skirts......one word, "hot". Do I hear an amen ladies? Also, the men wore thistle for their boutonnieres which looked fabulous with their kilts, and has signifigance in the Scottish heritage. Here's the story, "Thistle was adopted as the Emblem of Scotland during the rein of Alexander III (1249 -1286). Legend has it that an Army of King Haakon of Norway, intent on conquering the Scots landed at the Coast of Largs at night to surprise the sleeping Scottish Clansmen. In order to move more stealthily under the cover of darkness the Norsemen removed their footwear. As they drew near to the Scots it wasn't the only thing hiding under the cover of darkness. For one of Haakon's men unfortunately stood on one of these spiny little defenders and shrieked out in pain, alerting the Clansmen of the advancing Norsemen. Needless to say, the Scots won the day. " I love that story, and I hope I got it right.

I decorated the mother of the bride's crutch at the last minute. We figured we could camouflage it....mission accomplished?
